●Award-winners’haiku poems

"Paper drama"about the history of a notable haiku poet, Master Shiki Masaoka was performed by a Japanese student representative, Miss Nao Okumura and four students of Kumon Leysin Academy of Switzerland at “Cultural Exchange Party” the night before. Three participants won prizes in the haiku contest.



■Shiki Masaoka prize

 Haiku : Love shines like a star
         It twinkles, dies, fades away
           Burning memories

      星のごと
        恋焦がる想い
         またたきぬ



■Matsuyama Mayor prize

 Writer : Natasha Salamack (The United States of America, Hawaii )

 Haiku : A glistening waterfall
         Rushes down with intensity
            Carrying stones that sparkle like stars

       光る滝
        星づく石落つ
         怒涛かな



■Dogo Hot Spring prize

 Writer : Hyousung Cho ( The Republic of South Korea )

 Haiku : Star shines in darkness
         Star gives brightens in mind
            Star lights our way

       闇に灯り
        心にわが道
         照らす星
